Crochet afghan
The last few days I have swapped my knitting for crochet. With a fat size 7 / K hook I made a toddler size afghan in an evening!
What's even better: Driven by the speed enthusiasm, I went on to crochet a doll's blanket and a scarf for a friend from the scrap yarn. These project did not increase my stash by more than a few metres of pink wool. And I already plan to use that for decor on my tea cosy.

Autumn leaves
There's a box of crayons in the window,
silently tempting me
to fix the beautiful colours of the autumn maple
on pattern paper.
The one to the left has a flaming orange heart
among the yellows and greens,
perfect for an afghan
with dark brown edge stitches.
